Biography
At the The Law Firm of Poppe & Associates, PLLC, we distinguish ourselves from other matrimonial law offices in many ways. One of those ways is having Sallie Mullins Thompson as part of our team. A Certified Divorce Financial Analyst, Sallie has an extensive background in financial planning with an interest in helping individuals with the money end of the divorce process. As a CPA, Sallie understands the tax threats that can derail separation agreements. Sallie’s focus is to create sound financial recommendations that advocate for our clients and to ensure whatever the Firm is proposing to a judge looks equitable.
A long-time practicing CPA and Certified Financial Planner, Sallie is committed to the financial health of her divorcing clients. She brings empathy to the situation and an intent to create a financial map that supports her client to move forward without financial stress or fear into their happily ever after. Trained in the Collaborative Divorce process as well as in Divorce Mediation, Sallie is passionate about her clients and is highly valued for her expertise and ability to connect with those she serves.
Sallie started her financial services practice in 1996, guiding professionals, families, and small business owners in accounting, tax compliance, budgets, asset protection, investments, college, retirement, and transition planning. Prior to beginning her financial services practice, she spent 20 years with IBM in NYC and Houston as a system engineer, project manager, and marketing representative working in the banking industry.
